About Charmi
Charmi is a shop-hosted charging network for electric bikes, starting in Jaffna. Local shops host a Charmi device; riders find one on the map, plug in, and pay from a prepaid balance in the app. Powered by Pepulux.
How it works
- Find a spot. The map shows every Charmi device and whether it is free right now.
- Scan and plug in. Scan the code on the device, or type the 6-character code printed on it.
- Track it live. Energy, time and cost update while you charge. You can stop from the app at any time.
- Pay from your balance. You pay for the energy your vehicle takes, plus a fixed service fee. Both are shown before you start.
For shops
A shop hosts a device with no upfront cost. Charmi pays back what the charging costs the shop in electricity, plus a fixed amount for every unit delivered. Installation and maintenance are handled by Charmi. Register your shop.
For people, by people
When something goes wrong, a person answers the phone. If it cannot be settled on the call, we send someone out.
